My messaging indicator (the little picture with the envalope, photo and music note) on the phone app always shows one message waiting when I have none. How can I clear this?

Mine keeps showing 4 messages. Can't figure out a way to clear it either. In/out box, sent items, everything is deleted.

BTW, it's a Treo thing, not CDMA related.

the 4 messages is probably the 4 test emails from versamail... sprint does not announce how many voicemails you have (although i wish they did)

Versamail uses a separate mail icon.

The most popular solution for this might seem like overkill, but is pretty straightforward: delete the Messages_Database file.

Excellent idea. So good I wish I would've thought of it.

    It worked!

I spent over an hour with three different boneheads at Sprint trying to get an answer to this. They failed. With just one quick note to this board I get the correct answer. Thanks!

Well it's a PalmOS thing not a Sprint thing. Sprint and all carriers have hundreds of different phones with different OS's. They aren't experts on OS issues.
