I tried a Treo650 from Verizon but had to turn it in for a regular phone because in the two places I use it most it was dropping calls. The kid at Verizon said that I needed a phone that could handle the "old analog signal." The LG phone which works fine for me says "3G CDMA" on it. Would an "unlocked" Treo solve my problem. Please help, I just love the Treo650's functionality.

An "unlocked" phone might solve your problem, but only because you'd be forced to move to another carrier. Only GSM phones can be unlocked and Verizon uses a CDMA network.

So are u saying that CDMA phone service sucks? As I am getting the same problem with my Verizon 650 phone as well.

Iwould assume that it is the Treo 650. I do not get as many bars with my Treo than with my V710. GF is getting a little angry because I am always breaking up during a conversation. I am getting a lot of "what did you say?".

No, not at all. In fact some think CDMA is superior to GSM; but often one carrier's signal is better than another's in a given area, regardless of network type.
