Did you think you'd forget using your phone as a modem?? I'm pretty sure I'll never forget my first time.

Yea...PDANet or my personal preference: bluetooth!

If you're going to be forced to pay $30+ for a program to do it, or an adapter that could be found for less than that which would give me many more functions, such as reverse DUN, syncing, file transfer, etc....

Most people's favorite is the Linksys USBBT100 because it has several hundred feet of range, however, it is slightly more at $43 from newegg.com

It might not be worth it for you if all you're going to be doing is DUN (and not the reverse kind...using your desktop/laptop's internet over the treo, thereby giving you wifi-like speeds)....you'd prolly prefer any cheaper, smaller one that didn't have a large protruding antenna like the USBBT100.
