So I signed up for the unlimited data plan at Verizon in order to get the $100 off my Treo.

When I looked at my receipt, I could not find any text saying I had to keep the plan for a specified amount of time. The salesperson had just taken the $100 directly off the price. Furthermore, the salesperson never said anything about having to keep the plan for X amount of time.

So, has anybody turned around and cancelled the plan right after signing up? Did you get any hassle from customer service?

I believe that it's possible to cancel at any time without problem.

That's correct, you can cancel immediately without penalty. The CSR I talked to on the phone actually gave me that info without asking!

Would I have been able to get that $100 off and another $100 off from the new every 2 year deal if I had bought it now? Is this rebate advertised anywhere on the site?

Per the info I got off of howardforums, you can not combine the $100 NE2 deal with the $100 advanced data discount. Of course, what happens at a retail store is anyones guess.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. Getting the discount and then switching over to the 900 minute plan + MOU. I don't plan on being a heavy data user. Just using it when I "need" it. I need a constant PDA companion more than data at the moment.
