Not sure if this means that all stores will have them on Monday 23rd like some are saying. The way they are wording it is if they mean to say "stores are allowed to sell them to reg. consumers anytime after the 23rd" which means each individual store has their own availability depending on when they ship them from the warehouse. I live in the midwest which is usually the last place that new products arrive. I guess I would just call your own local stores Monday morn and see when they will be arriving.

my favorite part of the press release is the "change" (sarcasm) in data rates:

"Effective May 23, Verizon Wireless will introduce new BlackBerry & PDA/Smartphone data service plans for customers with handheld devices. Customers purchasing any Verizon Wireless Blackberry or PDA/Smartphone have the option of data plans that include 10 MB for $29.99 or unlimited data service for $49.99. Customers adding data plans to any America’s ChoiceSM plan of $39.99 or higher will receive a $5.00 discount on their chosen data plan."

I.e. $44.99 for unlimited data, or exactly what the company's been charging for data. Am I missing something?

Nope. They just want it to seem like their doing us a favor by giving us a 5 dollar discount while they raise the standard price of 44.99 for unlimited data to 49.99. So all in all unless you don't have America's Chioce calling plan, nothing changes. Wow they are so nice!!! (sarcasm).

I called both of the corporate stores in my area today. Both have the 650 in stock but won't sell till Monday nor will they reserve one. The problem is, one store has (2) units and the other store has a whopping (1). I guess I will have to line up outside the store prior to opening...

Yep...talked to local stores today an they said that they only get deliveries on Tuesday, which means a Wednesday release for us here. I kknow it's only two days, but it is insult to injury. It's almost like they don't want to sell us the sodding phones.

The standard price has always been 49.99 without a calling plan and has always been 44.99 with a calling plan. This hasn't changed.
