    Hey all..

For some reason my envelope icon that normally means I have new mail will not go away... I even cleared out all mail but no go. Did a soft reset.. no go. Any thoughts from anyone?

    Thank you.

I had that happen to me last week and it was pretty annoying only to find out the next day that there WAS a voicemail message that somehow was not available to listen to when I originally checked the voicemail. Very odd.

My old Kyocera 7135 used to have a button to reset the VM icon. Suddenly I miss that....

Try going into the Phone app -> Phone Preferences -> hit the "Clear Voicemail Icon.

That should remove that annoying envelope icon. It took me a while to find that after that thing wouldn't go away when I got voicemail.

I don't have that icon where you indicate. I am using a Verizon Treo 600. Which Treo 600 carrier are you using?

Oh...I am using a Verizonized Sprint phone but I wonder why they wouldn't have that function?

Interesting..... A Verizonized Sprint Treo 600 has it, but the actual Verizon Treo 600 doesn't? Weird....

had a feeling it was on Verizon's end. They cleared out the VM acct on their end and told me it would disappear once I received another VM... True to their word.. we are all set.

Thank you all and good luck.

I had the same problem and after reading your post I decided to give Verizon a shot. It took a while and they had to call a specialist but they stuck to it and fixed it. What a relief to not have the see that envelope anymore!
