I'm thinking about downloading and trying MobiTV. I already have a working J2ME implementation for Treo 600, but I'm unsure if turning this app into a PRC (especially since its targeted at other screen form factors) would work.

    Anyone have experience with this?

The problem is you have to agree to pay the monthly fee (and tell them what phone you're on) before you can download the software. If it doesn't work on the phone, I don't know how easy it is to cancel the service.

it's easy to cancel the service. Just give them a call.

Someone give it a try. If it will work, I'll pay the $10

I have mobitv on my wife's VGA1000. She's not using it, so we decided to cancel after a few months.

In order to cancel, you have to call Sprint customer service (per instructions on the invoice). Once I did that, I was bounced to three different reps, and they're telling me the only way to cancel the service is to call them and ask for a credit each month. What a bunch of crap.

If anybody knows a simpler way, I'd love to hear it.

    Edit: UPDATE

By going to sprintpcs.com, and after rummaging around for half an hour, I then found and clicked on a few obscure and tiny links which then enabled me to cancel the service myself. This was while I was still on hold for my fourth customer service rep, 45 minutes and counting!
