Sprint will see new devices, but there are still a few things in the works to finalize the devices themselves (no matter the carrier).

Believe it or not, Palm pays attention to these forums. Palm listens to the user base, but simply can't jump in threads and start telling people to stop worrying because they have "x" and "y" in the works. People can complain all they want, but Palm isn't going to leave Sprint users out for new devices. Either wait and see... or try something else out and come back. Either way, the plans on their end stay the same... and that's good for everyone.
Thank you very much; this gives me hope! I am a very long time customer of both Sprint and Palm. I have 4 Pre phones on the family plan from Sprint. I know that HP can't make specific announcements ("they have x and y in the works"), but they could say they are continuing to work with multiple carriers to ensure that the Pre3 is available to most people who would like to own a Pre. Surely they can see the concerns from multiple forums, and a statment like that would help calm people down.

It is pure speculation about what carriers will be receiving what. Unfortunately, we need to exercise patience, bug the hell out of Sprint, and hope for the best!

with Sprint's new flat-rate $10 smartphone premium, if makes sense to wait for a 4G version (the 4g $10 isn't on top of the smartphone $10 - right?)

I plan on living with the Pre- until this summer, I assume Pre3 will be available early June on Verizon and/or Sprint

I was getting a new pre this morning (dropped my old one last night) and he says they probably will be getting the pre 3... he doubts the Veer.

Pretty sure it will eventually go to Sprint If those monkeys over there bring Kyocera back (of ALL companies ughh) I cant fathom why they would bring Palm.

Haha yeah that brings some light to the converstation. I just wish people came out and said it already. Why the long and ghastly wait. I mean if a company has a carrier in mind can't the company simply say "yeah we want *blah*." Or is that withheld information they simply can't state.

I am amazed by the rabbidness of this community. There are still so many webos users on Sprint. It wouldn't make sense for HP to launch on all carriers. The Pre3 is a worldphone. They are going to get it on as many carriers as possible. This is HP now. They can do things that Palm never could.

The thing is that sprint customers as myself feel a bit jaded because we got the pre first and support and love it. Then verizon and AT&T only get the upgraded plus, then even after the hp aquisition palm pre 2 came out and it's only on verizon or gsm. Sprint hasn't been on the horizon for a while and we're worried that all might happen again with the pre 3, veer, etc.

If they got a 4G version of the Pre3 and a 4G version of the TouchPad, I'm sure that would be a fast seller for them.
not so even their new dual screen device is not 4G.

My last post was long and really just indicated that either Sprint is not planning to come out with another WebOS phone, or much more likely the rep just doesn't know because any potential plans - if any - haven't been made public. Maybe if all the Sprint users who want a new WebOS phone call or chat with a Sprint rep, the company will take notice.

I think if Sprint is serious about beating Verizon and AT&T, they need to carry the Pre 3. The dual-screen phone they unveiled is a joke. It seems that everyone sees that except for Sprint. Now it seems that Verizon and AT&T will be getting all the cool phones. Verizon and AT&T have the iPhone, are getting the new HP devices, the latest Android phones and tablets. What is Sprint getting? A little dual-screen thing.

So what is wrong with a horizontal keyboard for a webOS phone. It the portrait slider the staple of the device? I know pre 3 has more room but so does a horizontal slider, even then since the pre 1 is already top heavy when open would the pre 3 be flipping out of my hands with the glass screen and all?
