I'm going on vacation to toronto with my sprint pre. I have the everything plan with roaming and the such.

    Sowhat happens in Toronto, Canada?
Can I roam? Extra costs? Data roaming?

I know of Bell, but how do they handle this?

I'd call Sprint and get intl. roaming set up or you're going to come home to a HUGE bill.
I did a day trip to Toronto last year with my Pre and had it in airplane mode from the moment we crossed the border until we cam back to the U.S.
If you can't do that, get the intl roaming, your normal plan only covers roaming in the U.S.

Wouldn't the towers based in the U.S. extend the coverage at least a little ways into Canada?

Maybe I'm woefully ignorant of how this stuff works.....

Toronto is quite a ways from the border. You can pick up US service from Niagara Falls or Fort Erie, Canada, and that's about it.
