other than the form factor, and memeory(dont care about) what advatanges does the 6800 have? Will have a better call quality, more features or something elese?

I read that the 6700 had terrible call quality is that true? How would the call quality compare the treo 650, and 700p/w?

The 6700 had horrible call quality (specifically handset speaker volume)... I left my 650 to get a 6700 and ran back to the 650 until the 700's came out. 6700 = Good PDA, horrid phone.

So do you think that the 6800 will have better quality? I also read that the newer AKU on the phone fixed some of these call quality issues?

Anyone else want to chime in? Thank you.

I honestly have no idea. One would think they would improve it but then again people complained about the 6700 and did they listen and fix it with a patch? Nope. So who knows.

Call quality isn't necessarily something that can just be patched and fixed.

I think he was referring to the call volume. I know that's what I was referring to.

Well on pretty much any other WM device you can alter the call volume via registry hacks... for some reason it would not take on ALL 6700's... nobody could ever figure out why. For some it worked and others... didn't. Regardless I'd stay away from that phone.

The main thing with the 6800 is the EVDO Rev.A and the increased memory
the 6700 had ok call quality, but the handset volume was horrible... it was great over bluetooth however. The treo is the exact opposite- good volume on handset, not so good over bluetooth...

what the 6800 needs is a hardware numpad... that was the most annoying thing about the 6700- it was hard to dial numbers without looking at the phone. in general, the 6700 was a great pda but a mediocre phone, the treo is average/above average at both and that's why is it great...

will the 6800 fix or adjust most of the issues the 6700 had? I dunno if I should wait for the 6800 or the Samsung SCH-760 both are very nice looking phones. I like how the Samsung has dial pad but I like the specs of the 6800 better. So any idea on how both phones stack up against each other and the treo?
