Is it me, or is this site never updated. Does anyone using Sprint have any luck reading CNN mobile. If so, specifically what URL are you using?

It is updated everyday... right now they have the UK troop pullout listed... that is current.

That's weird, because now I can't view it... it says "Forbidden Your client is not allowed to access requested object"

Very interesting. I went to it yesterday after reading this post and it worked fine. I tried it just now and I get the forbidden error.

I'm on Sprint and I'm not roaming. I haven't made any changes since yesterday. I'm also accessing from the same location. So it isn't a coverage issue.

    Strange.

Glad I'm not alone. I'm gonna post this same issue over in the 700x/wx forums. Seems that get's more hits.

I am on Sprint w/a Q and I don't get it. I either get the forbidden msg or a site that has no news on it.

Also - has anyone noticed that the Wired mobile site is still stuck on December 2005? Is that a Sprint thing too?

I remmeber somewhere a while back this was answered.

the forbidden errr comes because cnn is not recognizing your sprint ip as coming from sprint.

which is why some sprint members across the country can access it and others can't.

supposedly if you complain to sprint or write to cnn asking to add the ip u use (for instance, if you are on 67.56.76.87 all they have to add is 67.56.*.*) you can access it again.

they started shutting out non sprint ips, I believe sprint had some sort of contract with them, so if you can still access the site you are lucky. I used to be able to and then suddenly no more mobile.cnn.com.

right now I have cnn as one of my favorites under the mobile reformatting site www.skweezer.net . www.skweezer.net/fav/ takes me to my favorites and you can have it use images or not, however it is much quicker than www.cnn.com and waiting for it to format on your handheld.

    hth,
