I have a $105 plan for 2 phones with 2000 anytime minutes, free roaming, free M2M, free vision, unlimited text msgn on one phone and 150 on the other, and all the other stuff that comes w/a regular plan. I also have a 15% gov't employee discount.

When I called retentions and told them that I wanted to add Powervision, I was told that I could add PV on both phones for $30, unlimited text on one for $15, 500 texts on the other for $5 and that I will get a 35% monthly loyalty discount to offset the increase in my bill. Plus, I keep my 15% gov't discount. What a deal. Sprint can be so nice.

I've never heard a sprint rep saying "to whom I have the pleasure of speaking with today". I was so shocked that I asked him to repeat it. anyhow, that was Keith from retention office. I had a 40$ for 500 minutes+20 second line+15 vision+5 unl txt+6 ins=86 plus tax fees. Here is what they said I deserve, notice I didn't say they gave me because I also feel that I deserve it, 1200 minutes to share B/W 2 lines, 7PM nights, M2M, vision for 60$ add to that 5$ for unl txt 6$ ins I pay 71$ plus tax fees. PLUS 150$ Credit when I upgrade to 700p. I tell you what skip the clowns at CS and head directly to retention. They have the power to make things happen, this deal beats sero.

Are you guys talking 700p when you call? Since you cannot buy it yet, how can you fix the plan? If you hear a good deal how to you secure it for when the phone is released?

I just talked to a retention rep for the first time and was told that if I bought a 700p I would be adding $15/month for PV to my existing $85/2000min/2phone plan. When asked about PAM the rep was not clear on what it would cost. When asked about discounts on the phone, she quoted the standard $75.00 discount for one with a year old contract.

As suggested, I will continue to call back until I get a knowledgeable rep that can give me agood deal with PAM but I am not clear how you all are approaching this considering the phone is not available.

    Thanks,

    John

They'll throw ya discounts if you mention the "c" word (cancel). Ask if Sprint has an exclusive on the 700p like Verizon did the 700w. They'll start throwing deals at ya.

Sorry to rain on people's retention parades, but why is this thread in the 700p section?

So what good does the offer do you, without buying the phone. How do you know when you buy the phone if you are really going to get that deal. This all seems a little premature to me.

I want to somehow keep all that plus upgrade to powervision, inc AT minutes and even lower the MRC? I dunno if all that is possilbe though...
Same boat here: 5 shared lines so SERO not an option. Hoping a 700p purchase gives some leverage on a new contract.

In my case, they wouldn't give me EVDO for free. However, the 25% discount (plus other goodies) will more than cover the $15-$25 extra per month.

Just hit *2 and ask for "retentions". Explain to the rep that you'll be getting a 700p which requires power vision, but you don't think it's fair that you should have to pay so much extra. Be firm but polite. Odds are, thy'll give you a discount (seems like 15% to 35% is the going rate).

Agreed. You have to be polite with them and just explain to them that you plan on getting the phone, but that you don't live in EVDO service area (if you don't), and that you don't want to switch to the 20 dollar plan and lose your 10 (if you have that as well). That's what I did and I'm getting a 15% discount now. It pretty much JUST covers the difference in price so I'm getting EVDO for $10 dollars instead of $20. I'm not out to try and save money, or pay less for a service I used, but it is nice to not have to pay more.

I have the same question. I'm using an antique right now because my 650 is trashed. Thus, I don't need power vision until I get the 700p. (Heck, my current phone can't even text.)

Are your loyalty plans being pre-arranged for you for when you get the 700p, or are they being applied immediately?

The 25% discount was applied immediately. I'll add the power vision plan (if I have to) when I purchase the 700p

I called last week and was a Free and Clear user for a few years. I've been with Sprint Since 2000. I was able to switch to the Flex/Family with 550 minutes, Calls starting at 6pm, unlimited Data, 500 SMS all for $42 a month. They also sent me a Sanyo MM-8300 for free as well as a $150 credit when the 700p comes out. Now I need to try and upgrade the 650 to a 700p for $399 or less!

Just got my retention plan. 1500 fair and flexible America $90. Free 2nd line. $6 insurance and $3 insurance. $10 Ev-DO vision. Free vision 2nd line. Free unlimited text on both lines. Free night and weekends at 7pm on both lines. 20% off my monthly bill. $90 plus tax. Not too bad. Doubtful I could beat that with Sero.

I called today and got a new deal as well. 2500 minutes, PCS to PCS, Free vision second line, unlimited text messages, 6pm n/w, free incoming minute, and power vision once the 700 comes out, for $124.99. Plus I get 20% discount from my company. They also agreed to sell me the 700p for $399.99 when it's released on the 28th.

I have a business account, so actually do work for the company. They ask things like your manager's name, and your office number, but I'm not sure if they really check it out.
