Hi. I am using a Pre 3, WebOS 2.2.3.
I am using Nav It v. 0.5.0.4787-2 When it is navigating towards a destination, everything works fine but the speech icon shows a red X. If I tap it to enable speech, Nav it crashes (as a matter of fact, it crashes frequently, but it is easy to just run it again, it continues right where it crashed.). Is speech supposed to be working in this version? how do I enable it? Also, I used the language override with "es_PA.utf8" and nothing happened. All the user interface continues to be in English. Hi
I uninstalled Navit and Speech Dispatcher and reinstalled them from within Preware. guess what? Now Speech works ![]() How do I increase the volume of the speaker? Even at max the speech sounded kind of low. Is it possible to pipe the speech output to my stereo? My car stereo has bluetooth and A2D2 (or whichever way it is called ) I can make voice dialing with the car stereo Javier |

There are two BT car profiles. One for phone calls and one for Audio.
If the Music of the stock music app is working eith yout car audio that you should also get the speetch dispatcher output out of the car audio. Check the audio volume in the music app. Is it at max? The hardware volume buttons change the ringer volume and not the audio volume when navit is running. HaPe |

Wow, it works!
![]() Definitely the volume on the music players were low, that's why the voice sounded low too. Now that I can listen to it properly, I found out a situation. I speak Spanish, but the GUI on the phone is in English (I like it that way). Nevertheless, the voice is speaking in English with a Spanish tinge (It's hilarious )Question is, how do I tell Navit to feed the turn by turn directions to speech dispatcher in Spanish despite the fact that the GUI is in English? I had the same kind of problem with navit on Pre3. Later I found out that this was somewhat unrelated to navit. Navit requires quite some resources and your veer might be short on specific resources. (The same problem might happen with other resource-intensive apps too.) See my thread about /var : http://forums.webosnation.com/webos-...gets-full.html |
