    That's it. Looks bad. Maybe I should uninstall and reinstall again.

    Hi, what Provider are you using? Do you have the switch on that an app has to ask before using GPS data? If yes turn it off and try if it helps.

    Verizon is my carrier. I did the fixer for the OTA bug, but no luck. Now it tries yo start when I touch the icon. The launcher kind of shrinks off into the upper left hand corner of the screen and disappears. Then nothing
  6. #406
    actually, the launcher just recedes into the bottom of the sreen normally, but no navit

    I have gps functioning at the moment using the GPS Fix patch and Ebags patch. I don't believe Verizon is working on it.

    I am sorry but this is what Palm says

    ErrorCode integer Set as follows:

    * 0: Success
    * 1: Timeout
    * 2: Position_Unavailable
    * 3: Unknown
    * 5: LocationServiceOFF - No Location source available. Both Google and GPS are off.
    * 6: Permission Denied - The user has not accepted the terms of use for the Google Location Service, or the Google Service is off.
    * 7: The application already has a pending message
    * 8: The application has been temporarily blacklisted.

    Thanks for the help. My GPS fix says I amm connected to gps with high accuracy. Navit will still not start. I only see the speech dispatcher in my launcger. Should I see the other dependent app for navit? Should I delete the folser on usb drive that holds the maps? That folder did not exist before I downloaded the app. Maybe I could delete that and try reinstalling.

    You only see NAVIT and SPEECH dispatcher. The map folder is added by the install, if its missing, no issue. You should place one map covering your location in the folder. With the fstab issue I assume you reconfirmed it was OK? How about making your Location Service ONLY GPS, skip Google Services? Sometimes doing a reboot helps things. Finally did the log file entry change after these suggestions?

    I ran the fstab utility, but i will have to read up a bit more before I can find the code line I need to look at. I am not yet familiar with novaterm. I did turn off google location services, but there was no difference. I am going to try a reboot and maybe a battery pull, also. With the GPS fix and the patch installed Google maps works perfectly, however.

    I haven't tried it yet since I don't need nav anymore, but the speed warner is gone, so that looks like a start.
