FS: Palm Pre 2

I bought a new Unlocked GSM Pre 2 off ebay about 3 weeks ago. I Sprintified it, and everything was great.

Then my work got me a phone, so I no longer need this one. I will convert it back to a GSM, and Doctor it to unlocked for the buyer.

This is a North American version, and will run on ATT just fine. The phone looks brand new (I only used it for about 10 days). Comes in original box, with manuals and charger/cord. Also a Mugen Battery (about 6 months old), and the new battery that came with the phone.

I will throw in a Touchstone as well.

EDIT 2: It's possible that the discussion that follows is incorrect - Nalek asking me to utilize paypals "gift" system to purchase the device led me to believe he was a fraudulent seller. He has since rescinded this and apologized, explaining that he would take normal paypal payment. You can decide based on the exchange of words if he is a valid seller, although at this point I am inclined to believe he may indeed be. I am unwilling to go further at the present time with this purchase due to my personal apprehension of being "burned", but I want to make a quick apology here. If you are indeed a legitimate seller Nalek, I apologize for being so cautious. Your words threw up huge red flags and I felt it necessary to let everyone know. I appreciate your understanding and will happily remove everything I've written here if someone infact buys your pre and posts that they have successfully received it.

EDIT: In the interest of not getting defrauded and helping anyone else avoid it - Nalek wants to be paid in "gift" form to avoid paying the 3% paypal fee (in this case, a whopping THREE dollars), a well known tactic used by a very large number of fraudulent sellers to separate unwitting marks from their money as it gets around the various protections paypal has put into place to avoid such fraudulent actions. Since you're giving a "gift", no product needs to be sent, and no dispute can be made against an item that was never received. In short, I am personally refusing to deal with Nalek at this juncture and suggest anyone who chooses to should be EXTREMELY careful or willing to accept throwing 100$ into a black hole.

If you send me money via Paypal Gift (so I avoid the 3% fee), and send the address, I'll get it shipped out as soon as I can.
Unfortunately, I cant do it tonight, so I'll unsprintify it, and have it ready to ship on Saturday.

Hey, I understand your concern. I really don't care about the $3.. I guess it's just habit to try and avoid fee's when I can. I really didn't even think of the amount. $3 is nothing..

Im not a fraud. I know when people buy stuff, they want it shipped right away. So I was just trying to tell you that I wouldn't get it out the door Friday, since I had plans on Thursday night (and thus couldn't convert it back that night).

If you dont want the phone anymore, I am OK with that, but I am ready to ship tomorrow morning if you still want it.

Sorry for the doubt I placed in your mind. I will stand behind what I sell, and I dont want to tarnish this forums "good will" for WebOS lovers by trying to defraud someone.

I'm of the "fool me once" variety, and you hit an extremely sour note with what may have been, to you, a completely innocent request. Requests to have someone send cash as a "gift" over paypal for an item sold on the internet are right up there with e-mail from Nigerian princes looking for your expedient assistance. I also notice that in both your response here and in the e-mail you never offer to allow me to purchase through the normal paypal system. Instead, you talk about how insignificant the paypal fee is, and how it's no big deal at the other forums you usually deal on.

If this is a completely honest attempt to sell a Pre 2 I'm sorry for giving you grief here. I'm not willing to spend my 100$ to find out and your words are coming off to me in an extremely dishonest way.

No problem, I understand you being cautious.
In my mind when I said "I dont care about the fee", that was me saying it was fine to pay via normal paypal, if you still wanted the phone. However, I didn't want to say "Go ahead and pay via normal paypal", since you had already said you didn't want to deal with me. If you change(d) your mind, I would be happy to deal with you still.

Look, bottom line is this, I made a mistake by putting the "gift" idea out there. I apologized to you both publicly in this thread, and via PM (with more explanation). I understand your state of mind, and do not blame you one bit.

But, this is an honest attempt to sell a great phone to someone that can use it, instead of sitting in my drawer.
So, if you want it still, let me know, I don't hold a grudge on you for being cautious. And just so we're clear, I am OK with the normal Paypal.

Fair enough, your willingness to go with a normal paypal route makes me feel it's likely that this was all a big misunderstanding.

I'm willing to pull all of my posts down when someone tosses up a "thanks Nalek, pre 2 received".

I'm looking at another pre 2 locally tonight and perhaps putting in an offer on another posted here instead. If those don't work out maybe I'll come back around Nalek. Thanks for understanding my apprehension - I've had a few negative experiences and they've soured my tolerance in online dealings...
