I got my battery and so far so good. I'm also curious if the sena case will fit with the extended battery. My case is not a perfect fit, but it's a very small price to pay for extended battery, especially 77%.

The Sena case does fit. I tried a friends today. The extended battery actually gives it a really nice snug fit. I'll be ordering one!

Exactly which Sena case are you referring to? They make a bunch of models and just sent me a couple new ones to review.. are you talking about a tight, form-fitting case with a flip lid or a side pouch case or what exactly?

The tight form fitting case with the flip lid. I was pleasantly suprised. I'll just need some type of reset program, cause it was semi-tough getting it out of the case.

There's a tiny free program called "ResetMe" out there.. I have it on both my Treo 700p and 650.. works on both.. it doesn't do any good if you have some kind of lockup with a white screen and you can't see the apps screen (thus forcing you to punch the reset hole or pull and re-insert the battery..) .. since you launch it with an icon but otherwise, works fine..

If you have Uninstall Manager, it has a reset function as well.

Have the 3200 Seidio Battery for my 650. I can't comment on the runtime, as the old 650 original battery was charged too many times to hold a charge and almost useless after about 2 years of heavy use. Anything would be an improvement to compare with.

I can say that the Seidio seems to hold a charge long enough to get through the day, and then even more. The battery cover matches my Vzn 650 very well in color and fit, and I noticed two unexpected benefits...

For one, if I ever need to remove the battery, it is easier thanks to the extension on the battery cover. Before, I had to try to get a fingernail in there to wedge the cover open.

Second, if I place the Treo on a desk or other hard surface, the speaker sounds better since it is not muffled or covered. The sound seems to bounce off the desk and come out the sides.

So far, I am so glad I got the battery & extended cover.

Can you provide the model number for that case or link in TreoCentral store? "tight form fitting case with the flip lid" is still a bit vague. Do you suppose that case would work with 650 with extended battery as well? I often see the two models listed together on products.

This is the one she had, but it had the flip lid. I suppose it would fit as long as the battery is any (much) thicker.

When I added the Seidio 3200mAh Ultra Extended Battery to my Treo 650, I was concerned about cases so that I could continue to carry my Treo on my belt. The Palm Leather Side Case for Treo 650 fits the expanded case of my enhanced Treo without any problems. I can place the Treo in antenna down or up and it slides in and out of the case without difficulties. The belt clip is very tight. In fact, if you don't wear a belt you will have difficulties slipping this onto the waist of your pants. Perhaps this will loosen up with use, but I doubt it.

I had hoped to slip my Treo into a Sena Leatherskin case AND still slide it into the Palm holster, but that did not work out. The clip stud on the back of the Leatherskin makes the fit too tight. I think that the snap on the Leatherskin case would also make the fit too tight, even if you ordered the clipless version.

BTW, the Sena Leatherskin case can be forced onto the Treo with extended battery compartment. It is a tight fit and the leather case will splay out a bit to left and right of touch screen. What I did not like is that the case does not ratchet when attached to the belt clip. I must have missed that in the product description.

I am very pleased with the run time on my Treo 650 with the Seide Ultra Extended Battery. You can find my comments on cases by searching this thread. Prior to the Seide UE battery, I couldn't make it through the day. I am using ChattereMail and FuseMail.com to push my email. I love that IMAP combo -- finally can keep my emails organized across all my computers and devices, and I don't envy the Crackberry addicts at all because I can have all my Palm OS apps, too! But it did eat up the battery. Now I can go 24 hours+ without needing a charge, and that is using my Treo pretty aggressively.

I am using Launcher X and that has a built-in reset capability, among other useful functions. Not sure if Zlauncher provides that or not. But I do agree that the back case comes off much easier now with the extension. No more scratching at the case seam and breaking nails (bad news for us guitar players) trying to get the stock cover off.

I've got to update my Palm page to go into all I am doing on the Treo.

Back from Post 103foward Seido I haven't heard anything back from you regarding getting a new battery door that properly align's with the Treo...I basically have a rubber band holding my door to my treo because of it sticking out it snagged on something...Can I pm you with my mailing info to get a replacement...

    Thanks

I've never received any information regarding a retooled door for my 700P. Is this still in the works?
  14. #134
Is it just me, or does neither door included with my battery look like it's the right color for the VZW 700wx? It looks a bit "light". Is it supposed to match the back?
  15. #135
I just received my 3200mAh battery and am sorry to report that neither of the included doors fit well. I wouldn't mind if the right edge were just uneven, it's that the whole door can be pried off from that point - that's unacceptable.

I'd feel better if only one of the two doors didn't fit, but both of them not fitting means that there's probably a bigger mfg problem. I think I'm going to have to order a 2400mAh battery so that I can use the original door.
  16. #136
Just contact seidio. They should be able to get you a door that fits. Trust me it's worth the hassle to have the longevity of the 3200 over the 2400.
  17. #137
I have the mid size battery & the seidio rubberized cover. Is there a rubberized cover for the big battery?

    is 3200 the biggest one?
Is 2400 the mid size & 1800 the standard for Treo 700P with 1200 for the 680?
  18. #138
So how many hours does it last on one day of heavy usage?
  19. #139
A new battery door from Treocentral did the job.

To answer the last question, I am a heavy email user (we use Goodlink at my company) and usually talk for < 1 hour per day. My initial results:

    - Original Palm battery: at 20% charge after 12 hours
    - 3200mAh battery: at 60% charge after 12 hours

I hear that batteries take a while to "break in" so these results might get better.

On another note, those of you who have holster cases may not have to worry about the extra bulk of the door. The treo + new batter/door fits into my Covertec side holster without problems.

What ever happened with the retooled door? Was it completed? If so, then why haven't I been sent one yet?
