If you're looking to go with Sprint, many of us have gotten great deals from them. Here's just one of many threads on it.

Try doing a search for "Retention" and you should get some good results.

Sorry, I don't have any Treo experience with Verizon but others here may.

thanks everybody I'll research "retention" but I have TMobile and need an unlocked treo

Can't get a 700 then. There is no 700 for Tmobile or any GSM provider right now. You'll have to use a 650.

Seems to me that before you drop any cash ($300 to $650) on a phone like this, you need to do some research on it, and it seems pretty clear that you have not done any yet.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, just don't want you wasting your money.

I've owned a 600 and a 650. I just found out the 700 doesn't come in GSM. thanks for the heads up didn't take your response as a smartass remark.

I don't have any experience with Verizon either... but from what I've read people who've been customers with sizeable plans for 5+ years have barely managed $50 discounts here and there. It doesn't sound like Verizon feels any sort of need at this point to try to keep their customers happy (one post actually indicated the Verizon no longer has a specific "retentions department").

The stuff I have heard about Sprint makes their retentions department sound like by far the most generous one in the industry. I have heard stories of free Treo's and significant plan discounts being offered to keep customers.
