My TV updated last night. No idea what is new or different. I really wished they had a note in there with the update showing the changes.

    What model do you have?

Thanks - I didn't check to see if I had updated. Hopefully this will fix some of the 'out of memory' issues some encounter.

Agreed that LG needs to put out some sort of list of update fixes implemented.

I got the update yesterday (in the UK). What I have noticed:
    - Settings now has a simple and an advanced breakdown. The simple version is presented as "buttons" down the right hand side of the screen, while the advanced version is the full version in a panel on the left as it was before.
    - There is a favourite channels slot in "the Home list" at the bottom of the screen. (I don't know the official jargon. Sorry.) This is very intuitive and makes it much easier to switch from one channel to another when they are widely spaced in numbers. (Between BBC 1 and BBC 1 HD, for example.)
    - The "look" has been refreshed fairly obviously.
    - Were we able to click and hold (the pointer hand turning into a little fist) using the magic remote before? We certainly can now.

I agree that a changelog would be nice to have, but the machine's main job is to be a television and they are making improvements over time so I'm not worrying about it too much myself.

@elvispre - what you're describing is actually the upgrade to the new 2.0 interface. The version 5.xxx upgrade was released after that to tweak out that 2.0 upgrade.

Interesting. This is the only upgrade I have received recently. (The last one was maybe a couple of months ago.) Did I get a bundle of updates all at once or just not get told about some earlier ones, do you think?

Could have been that they rolled out the 2.0 update differently to different countries/areas. Would make sense that this last update came up before they rolled out the first one, so they could have merged them. <headscratch>
