I actually saw it online for 599 earlier today. But yes that price plus the fact that you get a year subscription to Netflix definitely made me jump on this.

The TV doesn't support Bluetooth but I'm using the voice system on the remote To type this out by just speaking

Still kind of playing with that one but I'll let you know

Sound is great so far. I haven't had a chance to put it through the paces of a loud movie or music yet. I picked up a Roku 3 with the TV, so between the two of them I've been setting up and playing with lots of stuff. Plus, I'm still putting that part of my place back together since I hand to tear the wiring apart when I moved electronics around.

I haven't heard mention of them using HK audio on this, but it wouldn't surprise me. The one thing I am disappointed with is the fact that the camera doesn't come with the tv, and it is a proprietary one for Skype and hand gestures. I was really really hoping I could hook up my Logitech camera to a USB input, but nope. Guess it isn't surprising since then they would have to support a 3rd party device. But still, would have made me very happy.

I also wish there were hard copy of the user guide for the TV. Currently, the only user manual (outside of initial setup) is in the TV menu itself. Finding how to do specific advanced things, takes a bit more time this way.

    Dash Weather+
Sure.... I'll try it in a couple of minutes and post a couple of pics

I got Dash Weather + to come up once (see image below), but it just said it was "requesting location". There was no way for me to enter a zipcode or anything. Then it crashed the browser. Now each time I click your link the browser crashes and takes me back to live TV.

Well, that's disappointing! I've got Dash Weather running on every device I own... Android devices, Windows, Windows Phone, Playstation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, etc. It's pretty weird that the only device that can't run this Enyo app is a webOS device. haha

Hopefully the emulator is good enough for me to troubleshoot this issue!

    LOL.... ironic, huh?

I'll lend a hand whenever you want it tested out. It would be pretty damn cool if it was available when the LG Store opens!

I'm just going to guess memory usage and/or location API are a possible suspect.

From the pic, I can see that the app at least gets to the point where it checks location, so that may be the issue. I think I'm just going to wait for the emulator to be released before I try to work on this. Hopefully that's soon!

I think I've spotted a fault. That port at the back that says 'Service Only' - shouldn't it say, 'WebOS Internals'?

But seriously, tried typing any special codes yet?

Since I cut the cord a couple of years ago, I'm using an outside HD antenna for local stuff. I get about 46 channels OTA, so it's pretty easy for me to jump around. From the main screen, if you press the center button/scroll wheel (yes, it's actually a scroll wheel) it will bring up the channel ID with the show info you are watching. There is also a "Live Menu" button on screen you can press to see what's on the other channels either right now, or what's up next.

When the menu comes up, you can scroll through channels, but in the upper right corner is a "filter" button:

This brings up a "favorites" menu that you can program. I haven't played with it too much yet, but so far I think you can program single favorite channels into that. I'll play with it more and see how they work favorite channels on this. There are also 4 color buttons on the remote that can be programmed, but I'm still digging around features. Only having an on-screen owners manual really slows down learning what things do (my only gripe so far).

How odd... On a smart TV with a web browser, supporting BT keyboard seems like a natural fit. Would sure make using it for anything besides browsing a whole lot easier.

So perhaps the additional standard remote, which was said to be included, has those 1-9 channel buttons to have your favorites to programm to. And is it possible to reorder those "scroll through Live Menu channels" or am I too 80s in prefering a quick direct channel access?
  15.    #35
Not sure about reordering the menues, but the LG remote control app gives full options and more.

You get the standard directions arrows and up/down controls, but can also bring up a number pad for direct input:

You also have another option with playback functions (I assume for another LG device) and the colored buttons are actually 'favorite' buttons:

Another function is a touch pad (them calling it a "Touchpad" is so sad) that will move the cursor around the screen. It's pretty dang accurate and smooth when you use it. You simply tap the screen to select.

Also.... the first tab on the list below will show you your channel lineup. You can tap on the full screen button to get the full list:

Well the TV is linux at its core. Perhaps a USB BT dongle can be plugged in? Of course, it would have to have a location in settings to allow connections...perhaps a future update or app in the store could make that hack a reality.

Awesome! I saw a guy buy one of those while I was getting mine. Did you get a chance to play with it? FYI.. for those stores where they don't have a remote on display, there is a toggle/joystick under the screen in the center just below the logo. You can adjust everything and see play with the menu with that too.

They had a demo video running across all their sets, and it was locked down.
