Not sure how new this is, but there aren't any reviews yet so it must be fairly recent.

Amazon.com: LG Electronics 42LB6300 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED TV with WebOS Smart TV and IPS Panel: Electronics

(Anyone got a spare $650? )

i'm paying 27 EUR-cents/kWh atm that's nearly 4-times your price.

But then again we're shutting down all our nuclear plants now, so it's future savety we're paying for now.

LG's displays are ridiculously cheap on the power consumption. I don't know what the specs of the one I've got sitting in front of me are, but the sticker says it's a $10 per year, with comparable units ranging from $18 to $51. It's a 42" from the 2012 models I think. I've also got a 19" from the 2013 models, which had a $2 per year sticker, but I don't recall the "comparable units" range on it.

On the flipside, it wouldn't surprise me if that's rated with all of the power-saving options turned on, so YMMV.

They are listed here too:

View All LG TV Models | LG USA

Kind of stupid they didn't announce it more and give people official dates/prices back at ces if it was this close to release anyways.

Is it just me? Am I the only one who isn't really thrilled with the look of the new menu? It may be running webOS in some form, but it's kind of an ugly interface. In the demo's I've watched, moving that little bean around to choose the menu reminds me of the Wii interface for some reason. Maybe it has to grow on you...

The 240Hz ones seem to be the ones that support 3D, and come with glasses. (I thought 120Hz was enough for 3D? i'm not too well versed on all this stuff yet)

Just tell me the faster refresh rate can be disabled. I HATE watching tv on them - it looks so unnatural.

You mean how everything looks like 80's British or modern Mexican TV? I think that's the motion smoothing feature, not necessarily the high refresh rate. I could be wrong, though. As for disabling either of those, I have no clue.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant. Typically only associated with high refresh rates. One manufacturer, Sony I think, calls it "Motion Flow". I originally was very turned off of BluRay because all of the demo TV's had that turned on, and I thought it was just how BluRay looked.

My main focus is when they will be in local stores so I can try one out first. Not willing to spend the $ on my current budget yet...now if it were a phone with the normal webOS, sure!

Now now, the only thing there that is actually a plus is webOS Smart TV.. I love my 1080p plasma TV, even though it puts out some heat.
