The free version has only two tunings, Standard (E) and Dropped-D.

The pro version has 11 tunings, including:
Open E (for slide guitar)
Pentatonic
Open G
Open D
Open C
Open A
Dropped-C
Up 1/2 step (standard F)
Down 1/2 step (standard Eb)
Dropped-D
Standard (E)

Noted. I never use anything but standard tuning, so those alternate tunings are of no interest to me.

What I would really like to see is a "real" guitar tuner, where you play the string and an indicator on the phone (needle or bars, etc) would tell you when you are in tune.

I assume mic API necessary before an app like that could be made?

Do you have the Guitarists' Reference app by any chance and looked at their tuner? Seems fairly similar to yours, I've bounced back & forth between that one and TYG free.

Yes, I downloaded it in the past and checked it out. Couldn't give an honest opinion of the tuner since it's been so long. But I remember liking the app in general.

New update coming (already uploaded) which saves your last tuning so when you open the app you don't have to pick it every time.
