So we may see Pre 2 before year is out. Hopefully an announcement is forthcoming in the next couple of weeks.

They are usually hidden till an announcement is made. Companies are pretty smart about it usually. Just the fact that it is being outed by FCC is a good indicator that we will see this out soon as in a month or so.

There is some information to be gleaned. Battery is stated as 1150mAh, it also lists that it has a touchstone and touchstone back standard. (The same as the current pre plus)

It lists the inductive back cover as palm part number 180-10704-00 if this matches to the current Pre back then this has to be a variation of the pre plus. Can anyone look up the part number?
EDIT: It is the same. This is a Pre. Last edited by rsatmans; 10/06/2010 at 07:56 PM. |

No, this is a P102 for .eu GSM bands, matching the P102UNA and P102EWW devices I found in the TUV database last week.
P102UNA, P102EWW and P102UEU are the three devices that would make a set for a new webOS phone device available world-wide. -- Rod

It is a Pre. The inductive back cover from the FCC filings matches up the ATT Pre plus inductive back part number.

I have to say, even if its a pre plus plus, thats really a pre 2 from a sprint customers standpoint.
as far as i can see it to plus a plus you would have to do something like a new processor, or camera or increase screen size by pushing it out to the sides. add on of those in a pre plus and its definitely a real step up from the original sprint pre. put all of those in, and its a definitive step up from the plus as well. as for those pictures, the new sticker's middle thing is definitely proportionately longer than the right sided thing.
