Than I got to learn kernel hacking, are the sources of the stock 2.2.4 kernel available?

Stock 2.2.4 yes, however not the Veer 2.2.4 source + drivers

No, Pre2 = Texas Instruments OMAP chipset, Veer = Qualcomm chipset....

i also decided to try an update to 2.2.4 for my Veer.
Can you send me the link for the files too and is there something special to note for an unlocked Veer version (Germany - not O2)?

Hey all.

I just used the link herrie sent to upgrade my veer to 2.2.4. However, when I installed and put it into DEVMODE with "#*DEVMOE#" all that happens is it reboots and goes into the sign in screen. I can't sign in. And what happened to devmode? I can't seem to install Impostah or anything from webos quick install.

Can any one help? thanks!!!!

Yes, I just got my first in call reboot. The phone reboots during a call.

But thanks to Herrie for the update!

Too bad we never saw a Veer 2.0 or major software update. Would've been a great phone.

I solved this by turning 'off' dev mode, rebooting, then turning on dev mode. Still can not get GPS to work.
