    Hi everybody,

I own an HP Veer and I cannot connect it to a Wi-Fi network.
The device sees the network, it allows me to enter the password, it tries to connect but it cannot succeed to finish successfull the connection.

On the same network with a Pixi Plus no problem at all! Everything it works fine and smooth.

The network is from an Apple MacBook computer, I checked the preferences and everything seems OK (WEP included).

Any idea? Any special settings to check?

Thanks a lot in advance for reply and help.

Why are you connecting through the computer? Did you try to connect directly to the access point?

Thanks Vity Traff for your reply.

The access point is a router with *no* Wi-Fi capability.

It does really a difference if I could connect to the access point directly?

    Thnx again!

    Thanks Vity Traff!

Already tried, nothing changed, impossible to connect :-( I am disappointed because I really need the wi-fi connection.

    Could be an hardware problem?

Thanks in advance to everyone who will able to help me about this matter!

I sometimes also have that the Veer doesn't want to connect to my router and it seems that it keeps connecting. Restarting the Veer solves the problem for me.

    Thanks Herrie for quick reply!

I restarted many times but the Veer is insensitive to such operation.

Anyone has got some more advice for me?

Many many many thanks in advance!

Have you tried another wifi router, ie. go down to Starbucks and try and hook up to their wifi.

Seems that is the only step left, to determine is it a problem with your Veer or a problem with your wifi setup.

Try to create a wifi network using your veer mobile hotspot / freetether and try to connect to it using your mac and check if there is a connection which is established.
