One of the main reasons I bought the Veer is precisely the fact I don't have a data plan: I think the screen is too small to make mobile data worth it. Had I had an unlimited data plan, I would probably have gone with a high-end Android phone instead.

Have to disagree with you here.
I have no trouble surfing on my Veer. I barely even use my computer any more, I can do it on my Veer. I go to the big sites too, not just mobile ones. Sports, ebay, email, youtube whatever.

Veer there is no substitute.
