Hi Herrie...Thank you for all your hard work! I pretty sure I'm in developer mode. I tried to safely remove hardware and it tells me 'The device 'Palm Novacom (bootie) cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it.'

I'm trying to exit the procedure with minimal collateral damage. Any thoughts?
    and Thank you!!

Edit: unplugged veer..held power button down and toggled ringer switch a couple of times and powered back on fine, nothing lost. I'm in Dev-mod. I'm OC'd, does that have any affect?

Edit: restarted and seems to working fine

Ok guys first of all Herrie and others thank you for your work, appreciate it very!! Iíve been following the thread from the beginning and think you guys did something great!!!

Last week decided to update to 2.2.4. Glad I did it, almost everything works perfectly. Almost because I found three bugs which pretty much annoy me. Wanted to check if the ones who updated to one of the versions have the same bugs or that something went a bit wrong here after all.

    1. The music player(the veerís own app) plays the music only in mono, not stereo. On 2.1.1 it was stereo, no doubt. Btw still using the same adapter and earplugs, also tested on another device.

    2. In the messaging app as in other apps there are select, copy and paste options, which are also useable with the tap function(see photo's). In all apps there is a select all option which I used a lot and after updating to 2.2.4 the option Ďselect allí is somehow replaced by the useless(does nothing) copy all function.

    3. Since the update the phone app (with the list of outgoing and incoming calls) became incredibly slow, scrolling sometimes takes ages.

If it appears that Iím the only one with these issues, Iíll run the update again and let know if the bugs are gone.

I personally have a lot of battery drain the last days on 2.2.4. I'm abroad already the whole week, so it could be because of the roaming. No GPS or WiFi on, but it died overnight while it had 85% before I went to sleep. It could be some patches, but don't have anything odd running. I'll keep an eye on it during the next week when I'm back home.

What also is kinda annoying is that I cannot seem to choose the roaming operator myself? Most phones allow you to manually select the roaming operator. This is especially helpful when 1 roaming operator has poor quality services or signal.

Just type: 'reboot' and hit enter. Had exactly the same issue after the modem update. It will restart and you can start using your veer.

You should do this in Novaterm or WebOS QI Command Line tool!

    Do:

    cd /lib/firmware
    ls

And post a list of all the files you get from the ls command here. I suspect some files might be missing in your /lib/firmware folder.

This has now been fixed! It's only for the "uninstall-from-recovery" procedure on Windows. Regular update procedure was working fine, so only when you need to use the uninstall-from-recovery you need to download it

    Regarding touchpanel:

    start hidd
doesn't work for me because start command isn't found.

    Any ideas?
  20. #940
Thanks, Seriously, I do use novaterm, but in windows. Is that a problem? Anyway, the firmware update works, but it can't find the "start" command. Is my filesystem corrupted? Should I webos doctor with 2.2.3?
