Yes... absolutely. Dogbert can.
But you have to follow the directions on his blog. Dogbert's Blog: Free Unlocker for Palm/HP Phones

Step 7 wants you to install the passthru driver. Just plug in your phone, and when asked about drivers tell it you have a custom location and select the .inf file for the driver.
Step 8 requires Python.

What version are you at? For AT&T locked it should be 2.1.2 and that is what everyone has been unlocking.

You could Bypass Activation and go look inside to see what version is on-board. Or you could get the appropriate Doctor and Doctor the device back to factory fresh. (For Euro Veer that is 2.1.1 and for ATT Veer it would be 2.1.2

was able to get the down load code. havent tried it yet but just happy to get it.
most difficult part for me was getting the generic serial driver loaded onto my xp computer. other draw back was having to doctor the phone as the firmware i had on the phone was not recognized. i do not know what webos version i had on it as i did not activate it and just tried to unlock it straight from the box. thanks to dgbert and to all those that helped out |
