    I'm a dummy it seems

I wanted to lock my Veer while I went on a trip for the last 3 days so my roommates wouldn't get into it. The only problem? I forgot the damn password myself now that I am back!

How can I go about resetting my Veer back to factory settings if I forgot the password?

Thanks for your help I really appreciate it as I need to make calls to my work and currently cant.

check quickinstall to see if there is a bypass patch, or doctor your phone.

I am guess you will have to "force" USB mode since you are locked out of the phone. This isn't too hard, I had a Veer stuck in a boot loop and had to do it, worked fine.

If you choose to doctor (which I think you may have to) I would suggest, going to webosinternals wiki page and following the instructions there. Most people that have problems doctoring miss a step and then panic when it doesn't work the first time.
I love physical keyboards... but there is two devices that would make me consider a slab, one is something running a full version of Open webOS. The other is an iPhone!!!! HA HA just kidding (about the iPhone that is)...

I've doctored once before to remove ghost patches on my veer so I am comfortable doing it again but I was wondering... how do I "force" USB mode? I've searched and old threads said to press Sym key + Grey key + U key but I did and nothing happens.

I've plugged it into my computer and powered it off and on but it always pulls up the pin lock screen before I can put it into USB mode

Thank you both for the help so far though. Pretty embarrassing as I have had alot of smartphones and have never had this happen before
