    can u just go under setting and turn off data or roaming data? Maybe even go to the APN setting and remove the carrier 3G/4G APN setting.

    well, try to:
    1. open the phone app
    2. application menu (upper left corner) Preferences & Accounts
    3. Network section, Network Type...

    I can only assume since i'm on my pre2.

    After the Veer reboots, the network connection is set to 'automatic' and the device would search for 3G network...

    Greetings Onkelalex

    Did you try this: Data Toggle | The #1 HP webOS, TouchPad, Pre, and Veer Community | PreCentral.net

    @Jozz:

    I need the Dataservice, but my carrier (E-Plus Germany) don't support 3G overall, so i have to switch back to 2G.
    If i swich on 3G (or automatic) the device would search for 3G Network all the time.

    I used the Pre- bevor the Veer with WebOS1.4.5, there was no problem (in my opinion, the 1.4.5 runns more smother then 2.1 / 2.2). After upgrading the Pre with 2.1 the same problem occured like this in the WebOs 2.2...

    Annoying bug
