Just got a Veer in the mail this morning. It seems to me that the power button sticks out a lot, exposing somewhat sharp edges that might get caught in a pocket or might have the unit turn on/off unexpectedly.

    Normal?

So far, having fun, taking baby steps to get used to webOS.

Seems normal on mine. However until you actually experience those problems, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I love physical keyboards... but there is two devices that would make me consider a slab, one is something running a full version of Open webOS. The other is an iPhone!!!! HA HA just kidding (about the iPhone that is)...
