Hi, I've tried to install Hebrew fonts on my Veer using various available methods:

    1. The hebrew support patch
    2. PalmPreacher.com Hebrew2Go virtual Hebrew Keyboard
    3. Sending the required font to /usr/share/fonts via WebOS QI
+ Restarting the Veer after each attempt.

None of the methods have succeeded (or perhaps I've followed them incorrectly?)

Would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on the matter.

    Thanks

Also.. very odd. when I receive an sms the notification is displayed in hebrew.
However, when I open the sms hollow rectangles displace the letters.
webpages also display hollow rectangles instead of text.

    thanks

I think that the developer of various hebrew patches and apps has a Pre2 so we can hope he'll work on a solution when he encounters the problem.

Sounds like HP needs to step in here and come up with an official solution.

I hope my guide will helps guys,

Use command line, I know it on Mac with Terminal, hope in Windows will be similar.

    1. In Terminal type: Novacom -t open tty:// hit enter
    2. mount -o remount,rw / hit enter
    3. cp /usr/share/fonts/HeiS_nb.ttf /media/internal/downloads - to backup system font
    4. cp /media/internal/downloads/yourfont.ttf /usr/share/fonts/HeiS_nb.ttf hit enter
    5. mount -o remount,ro / hit enter
    6. Reboot your phone.

If you have WebOS 2.1.X then you have to type font name: HeiS_nb.ttf, if you have older version then type: batang.tff

    Good luck
