Rod Whitby from webOSinternals bought a Veer to analyse the new hardware and test and improve all the hombrew stuff they build.
Unfortunately later on he posted on twitter: Quote:

(Follow the link to see some pictures of the internals of a Veer) You certainly know what the webosinternals team and Rod has done and is still doing for us.

the shy timid Veer creeps out of the security of the shop storeroom and bravely takes it's place amongst the heard of smartphones.
Using it's small size and black camouflage it stays safe while others are snatched by hungry shoppers. But today the Veers luck my have run out as the Webos hunter enters the store. This hunter is highly skilled and finding it's favourite quarry. Of all Webo's the rare Veer is especially prized. The hunter quickly sees past the heard of smartphones and fixes on the unsuspecting Veer. It's all over in a flash and the captured Veer is carted off to the hunters lair. Often the hunter will tame the Veer by branding it with his profile. Today however is different and this Veer is destined to be shipped off to an Australian lab for research into. By learning more about the Veer the researcher hopes to help this rare species prosper. The hunter is already looking for his next target the incredibly rare Pre3. |

Actually Rod collected lots of valuable data about this product and better to do it now than later when a hoard of peeps brick the phone. Im glad in his screenies he noted the void sticker on the Veer and how to replace the battery without removing that sticker. Its surprising HP didn't use a little adhesive on the clamps for the cover, after all we're not supposed to remove the cover right
