I don't know what it's like in the rest of the country, but trying to find a Veer here in southern Virginia is proving to be a little more difficult than I thought. I wanted to get it at Best Buy because of the attractive pricing (free) only to discover that all the Best Buys in the area are out of Veers. So I went online to check availability at other stores. Every single Best Buy I check lists the Veer as unavailable. Amazon has 9 day wait until a Veer will ship.
Is the Veer selling better than anticipated? Or what can explain the lack of units in stock. I'd like to think that it's not because they only made twelve veers and they've all been bought.

I'm pretty sure supply was constrained this weekend. This feels very much like a soft launch. The AT&T dealer I went to (a franchise store) only had one, which I bought. The manager there mentioned a launch event of some sort coming up, at which there would be training. I get the impression the big blitz is yet to come.
