Yeah its pretty awesome but I think everyone will be using sim cards once everything is transitioned to LTE networks so there is hope!

I took a picture of my wife's Veer next to a couple common items found in a "nerd's" home.

    Gsm uses SIM Cards.
You can't have two phones simultaneously on the same number, you have to move the SIM Card from phone to phone.

It is a feature I like about At&t.

I think you'll have to use the web browser for that address to work. That will give you a nice idea about how Flash works on the phone too!

I am pleased to hear about the greatly improved build quality.

I also find the talk in this thread about some folks eagerly swiching from Apple to webOS promising.

I hope the Veer & Pre3 are enough to keep webOS in our futures.

From xxx xxxxxx, AL: Using H+
    1674kbs
    0.343 latency
5.316s download time for 1MB file.

From xxx xxxxxx, AL: Using WiFi
2.575s download time for 1MB file. Too fast to give me any real results.

I will say I don't trust these speed tests. Because I can usually download a 10MB file from any site in 3-4 seconds.

I'm surprised this thread doesn't have a higher rating! Best thread in the longest time out there!

    My rating bumped it up.

Saw the Veer today, thought it looked amazing, smaller than I had thought and I can see why that would make it so attractive, made my Pre feel like a lead weight in my pocket.

There is a market for this phone.

I tried doing it on my phone but it kept putting me in Miami and running the test to those servers. (Who knows?)

Running the test on my PC, I was put in the right spot.

Note: my area was hit with several tornados a couple weeks ago and we were without power for an extended period of time. So there is no telling what kind of patchwork AT&T has set up that could be artifically hampering my test.

I would like others to notice dukel's upload speeds.
Those numbers show that At&t hasn't crippled the Veer.
At&t had originally crippled the Inspire to max the upload to .30 Mbps.

Yep Inspire and Atrix were crippled at launch. I was only getting around 300 kbps on my Atrix.
