It seems there is Spanish available. I also see a Dutch translation from Vistaus!

Tap the three line menu to the right of the search box.

Preferences > General > Language (es_MX) [restart QupZilla]

    Actually: [TP] QupZilla

So after some testing, it's nice. A few things that if someone wants to work on it for the phone would be nice. Fist is of course it would be nice if we could use the interface. Not having a back button really sucks. Also, no rotation on the phone. I have no idea if it does on the touchpad, but it doesnt rotate at all on the phone. I truly hope someone would be willing to make this useable on the pre3. It would make using the pre3 so much nicer because it would be able to render websites again!

Nin_ru: Any reason why you didn't enable some of the configurations when building QtWebEngine like we did in LuneOS (?https://github.com/webOS-ports/meta-...it.bbappend#L6) I noticed Qupzilla seems to be missing support for MP3 playback for example (according to html5test.com at least). When enabling proprietary-codecs you should get MP3 playback for example. The pepper-plugins will allow you to sideload WideVine & Pepper Flash plugin from ARM ChromeOS image for example and watch things like Netflix ;-)

Though for those plugins you'd probably need to pass some launch parameters to WebEngine like we do with https://github.com/webOS-ports/meta-...ches.patch#L28

Uh, I did miss that pre3 post. I was sure that someone said he got a black card... guess my memory starts to work badly, given the old(er) age...

Although qupzilla works on pre3, I wouldn't call it as supported. For example it's impossible to tap settings button (and so to change language) as it's too small and close to screen edge.
If you were asking about Spanish keyboard layout support, I think it will not happen in near future, but different keyboard layout support is important feature and I hope to add it sometime.

Herrie: Thanks for info, I'll enable them and recompile qtwebengine, but a bit later...

    General remarks:
Time for a conductive stylus to use on the Pre3?
Re: MP3. I'm not sure what spotify streams, but I tried the webplayer in the hope that we could have Spotify back on webOS. Logged in OK, but nothing much happens. I'm getting warnings that the TP is 95% full (need to remove some apps), so it might be a memory thing. Any one else want to try or is this not supported?

That was what Creepingme was reporting. Did you make the required change?
If you want to try it, replace /media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/com.nizovn.qupzilla/runtime/qt5/plugins/platforms/libqwebos.so with libqwebos.so.
    That link is https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B39...ew?usp=sharing
I see you are saying "recommended patch", so maybe you did do that.

Spotify needs Google's crappy proprietary Widevine-DRM plugin.
Apps (they're all free now): Explorer for Dropbox – a Dropbox app for webOS that actually works (TP+phones), 3-panel-interface
File Explorer – fast and simple file manager (root support on webOS 3)
QuickChat for Facebook – real-time Facebook chat (broken)
Archive Manager – extract and create archives (zip, rar, 7z, …)
FTPit! – full-featured FTP client for webOS
e-mail (contact, support) – if you like what I'm doing, feel free to (alternatively in USD)

So does Netflix and plenty of others but those are supported by QtWebEngine from Qt 5.8 onwards ;-) Just you cannot ship the binaries it seems without a license. Good thing is there are ARMv7 binaries available in ChromeOS images where you can take it from and sideload ;-)

...and if any one want's to write step by step instructions on how to that, we can publish the guide on pivotCE!

    I'm assuming it's:
    1. location of Chrome images / binaries.
    2. what to copy
    3. where to put it on the device
    4. profit Spotify!
    But maybe it's more complicated?

As soon as nin_ru has made the required changes, I can write something up :-)

A possibility would be to do what Arthur Thornton did with getting Classic on to Pre2 devices. Basically, a shell IPK and a script or whatever that downloads legally from the proper sources, extracts necessary files, and then compiles an installable IPK.
    Did you know:

webOS ran on a Treo 800 during initial development.

It's developed by a former LuneOS dev currently working for Ubuntu team. It requires at least kernel 3.10 it seems, however it might be possible to get it to work on 3.4 that we're using for our targets. For newer targets it's for sure an option. We could theoretically get it working on the emulator since that uses a 4.x kernel already. Might be something we'll try in the near future.
