I was trying to reset my Touchpad to remove the previous users stuff. I was trying to follow instructions from the Webworks Gadgets website.
Somewhere in the middle I ended up on the Language Selection page, unfortunately I can't find a way off that page.
    Thanks for your help, Jim

The HP servers were shut down 18 months ago, so your tablet cannot connect to set up.

You could also give LuneOS a try if you wanted, but it's still alpha software.

Are you saying you've run the tool?
    This bit:
    Almost done...

    1. Turn off your Touchpad.
    2. Hold the Vol+ and Power buttons at same time on your TouchPad until the big USB logo is displayed
    - The Vol+ button is on the left when you hold the Touchpad horizontally.
    3. Plug in your TouchPad to your computer with the USB cable
    4. Open up a command prompt (It's a black window)
    - On Windows 8 it's an App that says Command Prompt
    - Windows 7 How To Open Command Prompt in Windows 7 [Easy, 1 Min]
or Open a Command Prompt window
    5. Next, you'll be typing a code to execute the devicetool file you downloaded & modified already.

I used the instructions here http://gadgets.webworx.xyz/restore-h...tory-settings/. Somewhere in the procedure, I don't know where or how The tablet ended at the screen where you begin to initialize the Touchpad. Right now I can move forward or backward through about 3 screens. I have tried to do a hard reset and that just brings me back to where I was.
That is the problem I need solved, how can I bypass this screen and abort the initial setup, so that I can work on the problem I started with.
    Thanks for your help, Jim

At this point, just press and hold the power button until it shuts down or asks if you want to shut it down, then follow Preemptive's instructions.

Finally got it after 3 or 4 tries.
Thank you for your patience with me.
