My touchpad has not been used for almost 3 years. In saying that my problem is that I am not being allowed to use it because I am being told that I have to update my touchpad.

Have you tried using a doctor for it?

Your TouchPad will not be getting any updates - unless you install them yourself.

You might want to back up your apps & data before doing anything drastic. Some suggestions here:

The first thing to do is establish just how far you are prevented from using your TP. What is the message you are seeing? Can you dismiss it and carry on? Maybe with data connections off?

If there are no apps or data you wish to keep, then doctoring may well be the easiest option. The TouchPad can also run other operating systems including Android and LuneOS, the new version of webOS under development.
