As no-one else has responded I thought I might - It ain't gonna happen. Check the forums and webOS Internals for the specs.

Probably not without getting some logs from it or something.

"It doesn't work." doesn't really give anyone any clues.

actually vineesh, what are you trying to do? I'm reading the thread and it doesn't shed light on your objectives. Without those, we cannot really give much input to make this discussion useful for you. Garbage in garbage out..

    cheers

It's possible. HP provided the kernel. Hell, even Ubuntu 13.04 runs on the HP Touchpad using the same 3.8 kernel (check out XDA-developers for that). And almost everything works from camera to wifi to whatever. So that means the drivers are either there or are easy to bake into the kernel, even for webOS.

Thank you all for making this discussion active.
I was doing some experiment with openGL libs in HP touch pad,

I have upgraded openGL libs with latest .After upgrading I am getting some IOCTL failure from kernel, after analyzing this , it is found that default webos kernel ( 2.6.35 )does not support these IOCTLS (
    IOCTL_KGSL_GPUMEM_ALLOC, IOCTL_KGSL_TIMESTAMP_EVENT etc ) .

These IOCTL functionalists are available only with GPU driver version 3.8 or greater , so I tried with the cyanogen kernel for HP touch pad which contains GPU driver 3.8

    https://github.com/dalingrin/hp-kernel-tenderloin
    https://github.com/jcsullins/kernel-tenderloin-3.0

I was able to build this source with tenderlion_defconfig , but device doesn't boot after installing this kernel
So I am looking for a working webos kernel which has the GPU driver version 3.8 or greater.

    Thank you very much
