    I have LunaCE, CM9, Uberkernel installed.
    The problem is not the 10GB you have free on the media partition, but files you (or a program you have installed) have added to the / partition (which is tiny compared to the media partition).

    How do I check on this?

    Update: Got it. I had a folder I previously copied in the /media. Shifted it to internals and it worked. Thanks Rod.

    I read that but it's an easy test. I have a second TP with CM9 installed so also interested in your progress...

    Wow, such tremendous problem solving skills are impressive and make me miss the early webOS days.
    Thanks everyone for testing and reporting your results.

    Read an article recently that gingerbread still has 29% market share but more importantly, most of new phones being sold are on gingerbread, is that true? (samsung?) If so, that is good news for app compatibility updates for this gingerbread version of ACL.

    edit: the ext3fs partition is created for ubuntu and android OS installs? Or just ubuntu?

    Still, I am looking forward to open WebOS, where the future is. Herrie, any news?

    Rod,

    Absolutely Incredible !!!

    If there was anybody left who hadn't anointed you webOS guru extraordinaire, this particular contribution leaves them no other choice but to stop lollygagging and honor you as such!

    Thank you, Thank You, Thank You..

    Question is will these files need to be modified every time an upgrade to ACL is released in order to get it installed on a GO?

    TTB

    Pssst hey Dan, on the off chance you happen to be browsing this thread today - I'm still waiting for "the" email to arrive and praying the ACL gods smile down upon me sooooon! Thx .

    I installed it in the same way as on the TP-64, tried it with rebooting, removing and reinstalling, the modules-dir only is available for short time during boot.

    So I tried to modifiy the startup-script, for copying over the patched KO's, but without success.

    I thought that this is the place where it could be done:

    Code:
       # Now we need to mount this filesystem
      mount $SYSTEM_MOUNT_OPTIONS $SYSTEM_DATA $SYSTEM_FS; a=$?
      if [ $a -eq 0 ] ; then
        logger -t omww -p daemon.info "($PID) start-acl.sh - mounted $SYSTEM_DATA on $SYSTEM_FS - errno $a"
    logger -t omww -p daemon.info "($PID) start-acl.sh - replace kernel-modules patched for the go"
    ls -l $OMWW_ANDROID_ROOT/system/modules/*.ko
    cp -p /home/root/acl_0.6.0_modules-shortloin/*.ko $OMWW_ANDROID_ROOT/system/modules/
    ls -l $OMWW_ANDROID_ROOT/system/modules/*.ko
      else
    But it's not yet working ...

    The md5sums of correctly modified files are:

    Code:
    bash-3.2$ md5sum *.ko
    a2284124b6c31a8bec6cd1bb60b40816  binder.ko
    2816b3232c64d3a7ae7d7444cdfb1839  logger.ko
    5f1b6056f501df264dc69a4dd732a829  lowmemorykiller.ko
    I took the KO's from my TP-64 with 3.0.5 (they have the same md5 than the Go 3.0.4 ones) and modified them, unfortunately, I get different MD5's:

    Before modification:
    Code:
    $ ls -l
    261938 16 Okt 22:18 binder.ko
    100773 16 Okt 22:18 logger.ko
      93277 16 Okt 22:18 lowmemorykiller.ko
    $ md5 *.ko
    MD5 (binder.ko) = a2ebde253650e1ca4c1a82898c0a8640
    MD5 (logger.ko) = e43ab0c35fb52e53955d0ccca35d9f14
    MD5 (lowmemorykiller.ko) = 8e6204fd2abc376a6aa8685a95493052
    After modification:

    Code:
    $ ls -l
    261938 19 Okt 15:37 binder.ko
    100773 19 Okt 15:42 logger.ko
      93277 19 Okt 15:43 lowmemorykiller.ko
    $ md5 *.ko
    MD5 (binder.ko) = 45cb33c8504c6d26edec91622845f260
    MD5 (logger.ko) = 16d888c172a02f42dddbcd3d5dc22094
    MD5 (lowmemorykiller.ko) = 66854e9af84091aab96735ca7c8d12af
    But I think that I modified the files correctly:

    OK folks ... I'm feeling really stupid. It would seem to me that the following GNU sed script (on Ubuntu ... this does not work with Busybox sed) would do the job:

    As this is Android 2.3.6, Google Play will not work, but Android Market works fine...

    Here is what I did... Google for GAPPS for Android...

    If you can not find it, let me know, I am not sure if I can post the version I used...

    But there are three APK's to install..

    First install GoogleServiceFramework-signed.apk then OneTimeInitializer-signed.apk...

    Then vending-3.1.3-signed.apk...

    after installing thru es file manager, I had to launch another app, until the app screen came it was installed...

    Then reboot touchpad....

    Luanch the market app, now sign in...

    Here is the trick it took about 5 reboots for google account sign in to work...

    But once it did...

    Now when touchpad launches a Google start screen also launches (home screen for Android)..

    Which is neat, but also the Market now launches and it updated the es file explorer I downloaded from the browser...

    Also now all market apps I installed have stayed and the login also stayed...

    Let me know if you can not find these files they are all over the internet... but full android market...

    This is probably a stupid question but can someone point me in the direction of how I would hex edit these .ko files please. It sounds simple enough but I've never had to do anything like that before.

    As this is Android 2.3.6, Google Play will not work, but Android Market works fine...

    John, probably would be best if you posted the links to all of your files. There are dozens of GAPPS apks online.
