I'm starting to wonder that maybe the reason why there's never been a fix for the TP's random sound issues is because it's a hardware issue and not software.
I've actually had the sound issue twice when using cyanogemod 9 to play some games. This time I was able to record a quick video where you can clearly here the sound glitch. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sexf589og0...2014.03.10.mp4 I'm not a programmer but unless the sound drivers are nearly the same for WebOS and Android wouldn't this seem to be hardware related? |

Most likely a firmware issue, where some kind of a memory glitch inside the chip affects the final sound wave calculation by altering one of the input variables. Putting the chip into standby (TP screen off / suspend) resets the value to default....
