I'm trying to install Preware on my touchpad and it hangs on the install popup

I have put it into dev mode connected it to my computer (a mac) and it shows up then search for preware it appears I choose install and then it gets stuck "installing"

Where are you searching for Preware at? I don't know of any magical built-in app that installs homebrew software to webOS devices.

Can you make sure that your computer is communicating with the TouchPad properly? Go into WOSQI and go to Tools->Linux Commandline. Type in some commands (like cd, ls, df) and see if they produce the right output.
You should also clear the temporary IPK cache. Empty /media/internal/.developer. For the record, there's more than one way to install Preware. This page lists them all: Application:Preware - WebOS Internals

I had to reset my TP and now non of the afore mention things are working. HELP!
