TouchPad SN popout

mine is half stuck in and half out. Any way to fix this

How stuck is it? Can you pull it out further or press it in hard?

If there's a spring pushing it out, press it in further/deeper than flush with the surface.

I don't have my TP out of its factory plastic wrap yet (yes i use it that way), so i can't play with my S/N card, but i'm assuming that it's just like the SD card slot placeholder/dummy card in my HP netbook

It has a spring. With 4G version it holds the SIM with WiFi version the serial, you should be able to pull it out a bit and push it back in until it locks again.

Buy the HP cover stand made for the TP. It will keep the "tab" down.

Yeah that's what I was trying to describe. But it is also sticking up ever so slightly

It could just be the way it was manufactured. Have you tried popping it in and out a few times?
