I was trying to text someone with my new TP and it said to connect a phone. It shows that my Palm Pixi Plus was connected (VZW) but it still won't let me send it. Any tips?

The message access ( MAP ) profile wasn't added until 2.2.4. It works great with my Pre2.

yeah worked great with my FrankenPre 2 and now my Pre 3 works great also. But I always thought the last update for touchpad allowed any phone right? So why wouldn't a older webOS phone/Pixi work even if its not 2.2.4? Or am I wrong?

No other phone or webOS version worked for me. There have been reports of other phones supporting MAP working, but they never worked for me.

I used these instruction to get the 2.2.4 bluetooth profile on my VZW Pre2 running 2.1.0 so I could SMS from the TouchPad. It's a bit tricky to extract the 2.2.4 profile and then install it on your phone, but it works well and is worth the effort.
