multiple linked contacts

I was going to update a friends contact information and found that she somehow has over 80 contacts linked to her file (some have No Name Available for her name). Most of them seem to be FaceBook profiles and I can't delete them (tapped to bring up the options including delete this profile and it doesn't work).

Attempting to unlink them will work, but they then show up in the main contact list and are empty. And, they can't be deleted either!

Is there a way to get these profiles?

now I've found that other contacts have the same issue & it seems to be a Facebook problem. I'm wondering if I need to unlink that account & then region to force a refresh.
