Help needed - TouchPad Go

Hi

I Got a new TouchPad Go but I can't get it to work.
In the initial activation I can't pass the webOS account stage.
I tried logging in with a working account or creating a new account but noting helps I always get "We are unable... Please try again..."

Any help will be appreciated

You can try bypassing activation if possible.

The individual who provided the device to you should have given you two things:
- the bypass activation tool
- a recovery method (e.g. A webos doctor)

I have had two GOs. One was set to login to the dev server which allowed me to creat a profile. I sold that one (wish I had not tho).

The other was set to 'production' so it needed to be bypassed as production servers do not appear to accept GOs for login. Once bypassed, one can use Impostah to make the serve thinks its a regular TP and login to your profile.

If you are looking for how to get impostah to make your GO appear to be a regular old TP, search the Impostah thread for my posts with rwhitby on the matter. I am on my phone and cannot search easily.
If you are looking for 'bypass' instructions, one needs the actual tool / program to achieve the result.

There is definitely a thread on xda on this matter, found it in a few seconds. Use search terms, chekz touchpad demo bypass activation

That's great. I have a touchpad go with att 3.0.0 OS. I used the Preware to downloard Impostah..Tap Impostah to activation.select US (palm)/English. E-mail /password write my touchpad account and can active the touchpad account to my touchpad go........
I can see HP App Catalog in my touchpad go........

To HPwebos.com to find out my account. And see Model Wifi+LTE(ATT). OS Version is 9.9.9. try to Get WebOS doctor from Device options. But it can not work..................

There are no webOS doctors available from HP/Palm's website for the TouchPad Go.

I have another touchpad go that was actived in the first. But I used full erase option in one day .The Go can not pass the HP account. So I had used novacom77 and cust-opal-518499(Tar file) to save it. The device is OK and no need to active the account.....BUT the problem is touch screen does not work. So can fix this problem? I am sure this cust-opal-518499 is ATT 3.0.4 OS.

If you still have this Touchpad GO at 3.0.0 version, please make a memboot backup of it and PM me.

3.0.0 for the Topaz was a structured a little different than the later versions. I'd like to take a peek at 3.0.0 for the OPAL for future troubleshooting efforts. We don't have a lot of resources to fall back on for support of the Touchpad GO.

Let me know if you need some help getting a memboot backup of it. I can guide you through it.

While you appear to have used impostah to login to your palm profile, I did not see any indication that you used Impostah's chameleonic / mimcry properties to make the catalogue 'see' your GO as a regular TP. If you do not perform that step, you will not likely be able to download anything from catalog (as GOs are not official). Again, check the Impostah thread here (look for my posts there) for the relevant steps.

You try to hold power + up and show USB. And double click devicetool software(jar file).After finish it will go into webos home page. My friend had fixed one touchpadgo like this way.....

My touchpadgo touchscreen was demaged and can not try this way......

can be through the active hp account barricade with devicetool-tp (around 14.5MB). ....Hold power+Up and show USB symbol and connect PC. double click devicetool-tp.after 4-5minutes touchpadgo will reboot and show Webos home. No need to set up HP account.............
