I'm trying to down load prewar on to my hp tablet. I already down loaded the webos sdk 3.1. I take all the steps and when I try to download I get a message that says. Novacom login. please enter your DevMode password.
Anyone know how i can fix this problem?

You are doing it the complicated way.

    Download Webos Quick Install: http://forums.webosnation.com/canuck...-v4-4-0-a.html

Once you have that on your desktop; you can plug in the TP and install preware.
Follow the forum thread for detailed instructions.
Or buy the guide from the developer (which supports future development): https://developer.palm.com/appredire...ng.wosqi.guide

You shouldn't need that to install preware. There is also a preware self installer on windows that will do it. As far as I've Always used was webOS Quick Install to install preware. You don't need the SDK. Just webOS Quick install, then restart your devices before installing preware or using Quick Install

It is still giving me the same message: to enter a DevMode password

When you first go into developer mode, do not enter a password. It will save that and cause you trouble down the line. That bit is confusing I agree.

If you already did enter a password, perhaps accidently, then I dont know the solution to that particular problem.

While I have used that many moons in the past; the maintainer of the executable stopped updating the installer
after preware 1.5 (which is awhile ago now). While the readme says its safe for all devices; I would not recommend the standalone install be the "first choice" method.

Yeah the enter password bit is non existent. Just leave blank and continue on. No password needed.
