It's time to move ahead with the Homebrew Pivot project. But before we can release anything or make a project website, we need to settle on a name. This is an invitation to the community to think of names for the new Pivot. Try to think of something that is memorable, easy to type (because it will be used a lot), and fresh. There's not really any criteria that I could think of to direct the naming, so suggest whatever name you think will suit the project. Write as many names as you want, but please try to refrain from spamming names (so a list of 5 at a time).

It's wide open. Go think up of something. Suggestions will be open for at least a week, at the end of which either community voting or project member voting will be decided.

ink (or webOS ink as the long name).

Representative of the (almost lost) art form of penning documents and publications before printers (or printing presses) were available. Below is a logo that I have quickly created. One could also use the angular "slashes" that HP uses (though this might be subject to HP trademark guidelines).

    Did you know:

webOS ran on a Treo 800 during initial development.

What about "On Tap"? Since this is a homebrew effort and all. My stepmom thought of that.

    "Open"

For open source, open this magazine... and whatever open phrase you can think of.

I'd call it "static" for obvious reasons. ;-)

    Remember "thisismynext"?

How about "coming soon" or "stay tuned"

    Maybe "staying alive"

    Or "nine lives"
