My email is hosted on a server that uses Surgemail. Some of the Surgemail web pages when clicked on, cause the Touchpad to download the contents of the page as a file instead of opening them. If I transfer that saved file to my web server and point the Touchpad browser to that file, the page opens just fine. What could be causing the Touchpad browser to decide to save the web page instead of just opening it?

HP Touchpad running WebOS v 3.0.5

I may have found the answer. The pages that won't load have an HTTP content-type of "text/HTML" vs "text/html". It looks like the Touchapd may be case sensitive in interpreting the content-type header.

I found a reference to this issue from 2009 on the Palm Pre: Pre browser cannot handle Microsoft ASP websites
