I was offered advanced replacement a week and a half ago and today called to take them up on it. HP no longer offers advanced replacement on touchpads. Repairs are normal but Advanced replacement is no longer an option. Oh well.

Advanced replacement as in... they send you a unit in exchange for yours going in for repair?

meaning yours needs repair, they send you a different one in that is supposedly fully working and been refurbed and you send them yours in exchange. This opposed to send yours in 2 weeks later get yours back sorta fixed.

Anyone know if this true for all hp products or are they just running low on touchpads?

This policy is only in affect for HP Touchpads, other HP products are unaffected.

Advanced Exchange was a repair option that was provided as an alternative option to the standard repair / return replacement option. The standard option will still be available and will follow standard warranty procedures.
