Ok so yesterday, I was excited with the new update. But today, I am highly dissapointed! Here's why!
1. Mettalic Sound bug - Still there 2. Wifi dropouts - Still there 3. Slow games need to be carded - Still there I will explain the last issue more clearly. Install Glu Mobile's Gun Bros from the market. Now play it. Notice it is lagging? Card it and tap on it again to play. now it will play faster like it should normally. Second example. Install Card Ace Casino. Now play a poker game. Play for 10-15 mins. Now go to Lobby. Try to swipe through the selection. You cant!!!! Same thing here. Card and enter again and you can. Honestly 3.0.4 brought this update and if you release 3.0.5 you should have made sure the bugs are fixed. A lot of people complained about these issues and it wasn't that you did not know. |

here is an idea: learn to be more patient. Spend more time outside, instead of playing some crappy touchpad game. The fix will come. However, I seriously doubt that it will arrive any faster with you complaining

Lol its my device. I will use as I want it and how I want it. If you ask, I am outside.
Also, If it is not perfect I have right to complain to bring to notice the current issues that is affecting our devices. Second, criticism isn't always a bad thing. Instead of defending Webos & HP with your heart out, maybe being a little bit harsher could have saved Webos. Having used all major platforms either they did not have so many bugs as Webos or if they did it was fixed as quickly as possible. Oh and people complained and the developers listened. I still maintain that Touchpad failed not only because of hardware but also because of software. If that wasnt true they would have sold WebOS. Open source was a last resort, not the first one. |

if you don't like it, get something else that will satisfy you. you are complaining about a dead piece of hardware using a dead, for now, piece of software. could not other programs be causing your issues? perhaps there are bugs in the updates of the games or other software.
ps i don't have many apps or patches on my touchpad and do not notice those issues |

love how everyone jumps on this kid for expecting proper updates....The fix to sound was kind of expected , or at least I thought they would attempt to fix it. Either way i didn't believe HP when they said they would keep updating etc, but who cares.....150dollar tablet with a web browser and Pandora, I'm happy lol.

Lol I always found couple of people here amusing myself. They act like sworn supporters of Webos and always ignored any mistakes or criticism of the developers.
Suddenly they realised its all dead but they still did not change their attitudes. Soon you will have a lot of people swamp the bug thread with their issues and the same people will become recluse. |

As for the cost factor, it should not matter if you paid $10 for it. There was consideration (the $$ HP gladly accepted) as well as an expectation of continuing performance (updates, tech support, server services, etc.). They have an obligation; dont settle. |

Spend time outside??? It's -15F with 5 feet of snow and 40 mph winds and it's dark 18 hours of a 24 hour period! Sorry but the Touchpad game sounds more inviting... -- Sent from my TouchPad using Communities

Well, it was slow and buggy when released. Things got much better with 3.0.2 to be honest.
Also the price-tag by HP didn't help a bit. But I think we will get off-topic. |

Since some fools out here defend webOS to death and always blame the hardware that is the problem. The people at webOS just took things for granted. And now we have a dead product. Thanks for all the support btw. We are not in Afghanistan. If we bought and paid for a product its our right to DEMAND a working bugless device. For all those that don't notice the issue with the games. Please install the games I mentioned in my 1st post above and check it out - they are all free. If multiple games follow the same buggy pattern then the issue is with webOS not all the games. |

What i did was to obtain an IP and pretty much let my device find and fill all that Wifi information when I selected automatic. Afterwards, i went to the wifi app. I took off automatic and went manual. The Wifi info that it obtained as automatic went to manual.
I did not had to input any numbers. Perhaps some of you may want to change the ip Address but i suggest for you to try it. Since then, i have not lost connectivity AT ALL. I used to have one of those bugs that would not let me connect to my router and I had to input my router password which led me nowhere. That is now gone. |

well according to a lot of people one hp's competitors is. Perfect!
stop missing the point. They broke something last update that should have been fixed after two months of wait. Perfect or not. read what I have written before. Netiher android nor ios nor bb 7 not wp7 have been so buggy. I mean wifi dropouts, distorted sound and carding games to work properly..plus go on synergy wait right there and ask your contact to msg you from gchat ..notice what happens. a new contact will msg you that is not in your list through his/her email. Weird |

I think what irks me with what I've read about the 3.0.5 release (I have not installed it yet), is that it shows that the webOS team has different priorities than the community at large does. Whether that is what is being dictated down to them by HP corporate, or whether it is their team leaders that are a bit out of touch with us, I don't know - can someone from HP enlighten us on this?
3.0.2 and 3.0.4 delivered the speed increases that the TP really should have had before being released to the public, and I fully supported those decisions. With that done, the priority for the next release should have been tackling the bugs and issues that matter. If you look at the list of improvements in 3.0.5, the only one on there that I have seen a significant amount of users on here complain about is the HTTP streaming. The issues that people are always complaining about, the ones that matter most to us haven't been addressed, and we don't have anyone from HP dropping in to say why. It could well be that these are very thorny issues that they are working diligently on that will take months to resolve - but no one bothers (or is assigned and authorized by HP) to tell that to us, so we're left wondering whether they even know or care what the real problems are for regular users. Edit: My bad. They did also fix the accelerometer I'm told, which is a pretty big deal! So that makes 2 important issues resolved in 3.0.5. My criticism that they are not communicating with us enough still stands though. Nowadays it is so easy for a team leader to do a tweet or post (pre-screened by legal first, of course) to keep the community informed re whats going on.
